Optical market recovery continues in all regions but EMEA; Fujitsu, Tellabs post strong P-OTS revenue gains in 2Q10

Boston, MASSACHUSETTS, August 16, 2010-Market research firm Infonetics Research today released excerpts from its second quarter 2010 (2Q10) Optical Network Hardware vendor market share report.

ANALYST NOTE

“Optical network equipment spending was up in North America, Asia Pacific and Central and Latin America in the second quarter. The recovery in North America rolled on mainly due to strong growth from Infinera, Fujitsu and ADVA from a broad base of customers. Meanwhile, optical spending in the EMEA region was roughly flat quarter-over-quarter and the outlook for 2010 remains mixed,” notes Andrew Schmitt, directing analyst for optical.
